You've got questions? I've got answers:

Late Policy

I'm going to be 20 minutes late- is that okay?

In efforts to keep everyone's schedule moving somewhat according to plan, we do enforce a 15 minute tardy policy. If you will be over 15 minutes behind to your scheduled start time, we respectfully require you to reschedule.

Cancelations/Rescheduling

I had something come up last minute, how do I cancel, and is that a no-no?

We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours notice when needing to cancel or rearrange your appointment. This time frame allows your stylist to contact other guests that may be on a cancelation list, and allow them to get into the salon before their scheduled appointment- think of it this way: you may be making someone's day!

If you do cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, leaving your stylist unable to fill the appointment time, and therefore, not get paid for that time slot, you will be subject to a $15 per service sitting fee. This fee must be paid before getting back on the stylist's schedule.

No Shows

I did the big no-no of appointments and didn't call or show up. Is this mend-able?

It IS mend-able! Unfortunately, when stylists don't have enough time to fill an appointment spot, they end up with a gap in their schedule that they loose dollars on. Our policy salon wide is that if an appointment is no called, no-showed, or cancelled the day of the appointment, 50% of the would be total for the missed appointment will be due before the guest is able to reschedule.

Redo Policy

I am unhappy with my service- what are my next steps?

First off- boo! It is NO fun to not like your hair. If you are in need of an adjustment, please let us know within 72 hours of your service, and (within reasonable limits) we will do everything we can to tweak the finished product to your liking. If requests are made to adjust your service more than one week removed from your original service, we are more than happy to make any changes needed, however, the adjustment service will be scheduled and charged as a new appointment.

Tipping

How much do I tip my stylist?

Hairstylists are a part of the service industry- taking great pride in offering a hospitable, professional service. It’s customary to tip anywhere from 15 to 25 percent of the total service amount, depending on your experience and satisfaction. You are, of course, not obligated to provide any tip, but all stylists are greatly appreciative of your gratuity as a reflection of your happiness with their work.

Massive Cut/Color Changes

I decided to make a MAJOR change to a cut and/or color, and now that it's all said and done- I'm not so sure about my decision. What do I do?!

First off, we're so sorry you're not loving it. Making a big change ALWAYS takes a few days to settle into, whether it is the best or worst decision you've ever made. The ANSWER to the question is a bit sticky, dare I say, two part.

1. If we accomplished, within reasonable expectations, what the original goal was for our time together, than the next service to go thru and adjust the original outcome to a more comfortable option, will be schedule and charged as a new appointment.

2. If you came in wanting and having your heart set on pink and walked out with green- it's understandable why you're not likely in love. That issue is on your stylist, and will be accommodated and shifted as soon as possible.

Either way, change is scary. It's fun, it's sassy, and it's terrifying. We highly encourage you to give yourself a few days to live in your new look, and make your final decision from there.

Kiddos at the Shop

Can I bring my children or fur-babies to the salon?

At Lush + Lather, we strive to provide a space for calm and rejuvenation to take place. However, we understand that our clients wear many hats, and sometimes have children in tow. For those clients who bring children into the salon, we ask that you ensure your children are able to sit quietly or amuse themselves. Because of the nature of the heat and sharpness of the tools used in the beauty industry, for the children's own safety, they may not play with or touch any of the professional tools.

We are pet lovers. However, we are sensitive to the possibility that other clients may have animal allergies. So, unless your furry friend is hypoallergenic, or has been cleared for another reason by the owner, please leave your little loves at the house.
